Legacy Park Center

Our vision that has become Legacy Park Center began In 2012. We began to invest funds and expertise in individuals, businesses and organizations. Assisting them in developing a models that is profitable and help address the hurdles to growth became our objective. Completing the purchase of the Asher property in 2022 marked a transformative beginning. The ground we break this year will be a testament from which to study, teach and learn. This year we continue building on a rich legacy of doers.

I am the product of people who work and build. A tradition that began in the 1800's remains vibrant today. In the words of my grandfather, "we are builders". This fact was often illustrated when my father and uncles would point out a building and say; "I did work on that building".  We are the progeny of a people who emerged from a plantation in Darlington, SC and started working and building. We are a people who achieved success and a degree of prosperity less than 1 generation later.

It is in this tradition that immediately after operations begin will continue to share our story and our lessons to those interested in working and building. Within the first 14 months, we will; restart our support of established community groups and organizations. In addition we will begin sponsorship of our Saturday school tutoring, science clubs, math/spelling bees and other similar education initiatives.

Funding our dance lesson scholarship fund will begin in the second year of operations. The awards will be named for the contributors and go directly to the students to pay class instructors. The contributor can also exercise the option of presenting the scholarship to the student during our annual gala and designating the name for which the scholarship is awarded; value to you.

Eligibility for the scholarships is very simple:

1. ​Must be a current Alluvium Studios Students between 3-18 years of age. (no scholarship funds will be used to pay for introductory classes)

2. Must have demonstrated a sustained interest in the class.
